A modern search experience

My role on this project was to create a prototype for usability testing. I parterned with product designers and UX researchers from the Provider Experience team to create a rich, interactive experience for a provider finding different patients.

One element of this prototype that was particularly interesting for me was learning a new fuzzy search library for React. I had never done any sort of fuzzy search, but it was an essential component to this particular prototype so I had to figure it out. It’s not perfect, but it worked pretty well and created the right fidelity for testing.

Some things to try:

• From the list of patients, search for “Watts”
• Click “Search for new patient” and search for first name “Ant” (no other form data is required).
• Click “Add to my patients” for Antoinette. She should now be listed at the very top of the patients list.

Note: No real user data was used in the prototype
